Our school

Ohio grades every school in the state each year. Columbus Bilingual Academy North — a public charter school serving kindergarten through eighth grade in Columbus, Ohio — earned a 5-Star Progress rating in 2024–25, the highest rating the state gives for student growth. Children here are making more than a year's worth of academic growth per year, and they're doing it while learning in two languages.

The school is built around bilingual education. Students develop in both English and Spanish throughout every school day. That isn't an add-on or an elective. It's the method. A bilingual school doesn't supplement one language with the other — it develops both at the same time, and students leave with real fluency in both. Children who speak Spanish at home get to learn in the language they already know while building academic English alongside it. Children who come in as English speakers gain a second language alongside their peers. Both languages grow together, in the same classroom, every day.
