CBAN Receives 2024 Momentum Award from ODE 

We are thrilled to announce that Columbus Bilingual Academy – North has been honored with the 2024 Momentum Award from the Ohio Department of Education. This prestigious award recognizes schools and districts that have demonstrated exceptional progress in student achievement, while continuing to show growth and improvement. 

What does this award mean for your child?  

The Momentum Award recognizes schools where student achievement is consistently improving. It is given to schools that have made significant strides in their performance index, with an improvement of 3 or more points from the 2022-2023 report card to the 2023-2024 report card. Additionally, schools must have earned a value-added progress rating of 4 or more stars to be eligible for this honor (schools with an overall rating of 5 stars are not considered for the Momentum Award).  

No matter where each child begins, our school is dedicated to helping them grow and reach their full potential. The progress reflected in our rising test scores goes beyond just numbers—they’re a clear indication that we’re on the right path and that our students are benefitting from the efforts of our entire school community.  

This recognition highlights the incredible work and dedication of our students, staff, and families, all of whom have contributed to this achievement. We are immensely proud of the progress our school has made and the commitment to excellence that is evident in every classroom.
